Mark Shulgan

Co-founder & Partner

Mark has more than two decades of investment experience. He founded and led two growth equity teams at top-tier global investment management firms and has consistently delivered top-quartile returns. He is the founder and former head of OMERS Growth Equity where he led investments into 20 companies and more than $1B of invested capital in software and tech-enabled healthcare companies in North America. Before that, he co-founded and then led CPPIB's Thematic Investing (now Growth Equity) team. There, he led investments into 30 companies and more than $6B of invested capital, primarily into software and healthcare companies in North America, Western Europe, and Asia.

Mark was the Chair of OMERS Growth Equity Investment Committee and CPPIB's Thematic Investing Investment Committee and was a member of CPPIB's Active Equities ($50B+) Investment Committee. Before that, he was a Vice President at Fortress Investment Group.

Mark has served on the boards of Dialpad, Coveo (TSX: CVO), TouchBistro, PandaDoc, Celigo, Purpose Financial, and OneEleven. He is now a mentor to the Creative Destruction Lab and a Venture Capital Advisor to Nicola Wealth.

Mark graduated as the Gold Medalist (highest average in his class) with a BA from Western University and earned an MBA from Windsor University.
